AWIS North Carolina
Sally Lee | UNC Chapel Hill
Sally Lee is an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying biology. She works as a student researcher in the Astrobotany Lab at Winston-Salem State University and has worked on independent research along with the lab’s research, such as the NS-31 Space Flight.
Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Christina Albert, MD
Dr. Christina Albert, is a North Carolina physician specializing in Family Medicine and Obstetrics. Originally from South Florida, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida. Dr. Albert practices full-spectrum family medicine in Winston-Salem and Wilkesboro in North Carolina. She also serves as adjunct faculty with the Family Medicine residency program at Wake Forest School of Medicine, where she teaches residents on obstetric and newborn care rotations.
Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine
Brendyn Miller, PhD
Dr. Brendyn Miller, is bioengineering post-doctoral researcher at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Miller received his PhD in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2023, where he developed experimental and computational platforms for investigating systems mechanobiology. He has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine since September 2023, and his research projects have included evaluating the cellular mechanisms involved in a novel cellular therapy for osteoarthritis and developing a sensor-integrated bioreactor system for preconditioning tissue-engineered bladder constructs.
